Research Associate

Description

AMP is a leading provider of certification and licensure examination services for certification organizations, government agencies, professional associations, and private industries. The Research Associate provides a wide range of psychometric support to various client programs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct job analyses and other applied research studies
• Develop examination specifications, training item writers and participating in examination review meetings
• Conduct and review item analyses
• Conduct standard setting studies, equating, and in general, help to ensure the psychometric integrity of the examination programs

Requirements

• Masters Degree in I/O Psychology, Measurement, or Education. One year of experience in testing/measurement preferred
• Strong quantitative skills required, including experience with SPSS, SAS, or other statistical packages. Knowledge of basic statistics and testing/measurement issues required (e.g., mean, SD, SEM, correlation, reliability, validity). Advanced statistical knowledge (e.g., IRT, multivariate statistical methods) preferred
• Skill in word processing and spreadsheet programs (e.g., WORD, Excel)
• Good oral and written communication skills. Can communicate effectively and competently with clients and committees
• Ability to meet multiple demands and deadlines
• Ability to assist in the coordination, planning, and monitoring of all phases of examination programs
• Flexibility in using diverse approaches to meet various project requirements
• Ability to work well, and communicate with others within the organization
